Disaster Recovery Plans

Basic Disaster Preparedness Procedures:

To prepare for a disaster, you should:

Have an IT Support plan in place
Have a redundant off-site data backup
Unplug all electronics
Shutdown any servers
Wrap electronics (laptops, PC computers, computer hardware and servers) in plastic
Put all expensive/important electronics in a closed room
Elevate important computer parts in case of flooding
Bring important documents with you (or leave them in a safe and dry place)
