A Cary IT company serving your office and field team

Computerbilities was founded in December 1995. Our North Carolina office is at 1300 SE Maynard Road, Suite 102, Cary, NC 27511.

For a Cary contractor, the business address is only one part of the operation. Your staff may also work from home, visit clients, or move between projects around the Triangle. We discuss how those employees connect, which devices they use, and what information they need to reach.

Support can include remote assistance and on-site work within the agreed scope. We define coverage and escalation around your operating needs; proximity alone does not determine how quickly every issue can be resolved.

Give a growing team an organized IT foundation

Make employee setup repeatable

A new estimator should not have to borrow someone else's login to get started. We help establish an agreed process for accounts, business devices, application access, and approval of permissions. The same process should address role changes and removal of access when someone leaves.

Keep business information in the right places

Drawings, proposals, contracts, and financial records need different access controls. We review how your company stores and shares information, including Microsoft 365 and the business applications you rely on. The goal is to make approved access practical while limiting unnecessary exposure.

Plan replacements before equipment becomes urgent

An aging laptop is more than a purchase decision when it holds up estimating or payroll. An equipment inventory and replacement plan can help your business schedule work, budget for devices, and identify software dependencies before a failure forces a rushed decision.

Prepare for interruptions

We discuss which systems matter most, how they are backed up, and what recovery testing should demonstrate. A backup job completing is different from proving that the right files and applications can be restored. Your support scope should make those responsibilities clear.

Protect the path from the inbox to the payment

Construction businesses exchange invoices, purchase orders, and bank details with many outside parties. An email that looks familiar is not sufficient evidence that a payment change is legitimate.

IT protections and business procedures work together. Email security, account protections, and staff training can support your process. Your accounting team still needs a known-contact callback and a separate approval step before changing payment instructions. A signed vendor form is a record of the request; it does not replace independent verification.

Our subcontractor bank-account change guide explains that workflow. The Construction Invoice-Fraud Prevention Kit includes a vendor request template and an internal verification record you can adapt for your company.

An outside IT department or support for your existing team

If owners or office staff currently handle IT between other responsibilities, fully managed support can give employees a defined support channel and leadership a clearer view of priorities. If you already have internal IT staff, we can discuss co-managed responsibilities.

Read about support for teams with 10–49 users or managed and co-managed IT for 50–250 users. Both arrangements begin with understanding your operation.

Questions about IT support in Cary

What counts as a supported user?

A supported user is a person whose business technology needs are covered by the agreed service. It is not automatically the same as the number of computers: an employee may use a desktop, laptop, and phone. Shared devices, occasional users, and outside contractors should be identified during scoping so the proposal is clear.

Why do we need a conversation before receiving a quote?

User count is only part of the cost. Locations, applications, devices, security requirements, existing IT staff, and support coverage all affect the work. A scoping conversation helps us avoid leaving important responsibilities out of the proposal.

Is a migration included in ongoing support?

That depends on the agreement. A server replacement, office move, or application migration may require its own scope, schedule, and price. We identify project work separately from recurring services when preparing the proposal.

Start with your most persistent IT problem

Tell us where technology is costing your team time: new employee setup, access to files, unreliable devices, or uncertainty about recovery. We will use the first conversation to discuss your needs and a suitable next step.
